Septic Systems (Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems)
In most cases septic system problems do not require that you replace the septic tank. The three primary components of a septic system are the external sewer line entering the tank, the septic tank and the disposal field. Occasionally you may have a distribution box to evenly distribute flow to multiple drainage fields or seepage pits, also know as dry wells. If you are experiencing septic system problems each of these components must be checked to isolate the problem. Proper trouble shooting is critical when diagnosing these Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS) as total tank and system replacement costs can be staggering.
Proper, routine maintenance of OWTS is essential to achieving optimal system performance as well as getting the longest possible system use. Routine tank pumping (done at least every 3-5 years) is the most important. In addition to tank pumping this should be immediately followed by disposal field cleaning and rejuvenation. Although you should be administering a bacteria culture digestant twice annually you should administer bacteria digestants immediately after septic tank pumping.
So if you experience Septic System problems or you simply need to have the systems “oil changed” Hydrotek Pipe Services has all the necessary diagnostic equipment to deliver you an accurate diagnosis of your Septic System.
